Owned list

The channel you own, working while you sleep

CASL-compliant campaigns and automated flows that turn one-time buyers and cold leads into repeat revenue.

What this includes
  • Platform setup or migration
  • Deliverability configuration
  • 5–8 automated flows
  • Monthly campaign calendar
  • Segmentation and list hygiene

Every other channel is rented. Algorithms shift, ad costs climb, an account gets restricted — but the list is yours. It is also, reliably, the cheapest revenue in the business, and the one most companies neglect until a slow quarter arrives.

We build the automated flows first, because they run forever, then layer campaigns on top. All of it under CASL — Canada's anti-spam law has real teeth, and we keep your consent records clean.

2026 in Canada: Inbox providers now enforce authentication strictly; unauthenticated senders are being filtered at scale.

Deliverables

What we actually do, month after month

No vague "strategy and optimisation" line items. Here is the work.

01

Platform setup & deliverability

SPF, DKIM, DMARC, warm-up and list hygiene, so your email reaches the inbox instead of the promotions bin or spam.

02

Automated flows

Welcome, nurture, abandoned cart, post-purchase, review request, win-back and re-engagement — built once, earning continuously.

03

Campaign calendar

Regular broadcasts with a reason to exist: offers, useful content, seasonal timing that matches Canadian buying cycles.

04

Segmentation

Talk to buyers, browsers, lapsed customers and cold leads differently — a single blast to everyone is why open rates collapse.

05

Copy & design

Templates that look right on mobile and in dark mode, with subject lines tested rather than guessed.

06

CASL compliance

Express and implied consent handled properly, with records, unsubscribe handling and identification requirements met.

Process

How a Email Marketing engagement runs

A deliberately boring process, run consistently. That's what produces results people call remarkable.

Benchmark

We measure where you actually stand — rankings, traffic, ad efficiency, conversion rate and AI citations — against the three competitors you name. Nothing gets proposed until we can see the gap.

Plan

You get a written plan with the work in priority order, what each piece should move, and what it costs. If something isn't worth doing yet, we say so rather than padding the retainer.

Build

Technical fixes, pages, campaigns, creative and tracking get shipped. Tracking always comes first, because everything after it is guesswork without it.

Measure

One dashboard, live, showing spend, leads and cost per lead by channel. You never have to ask what's happening — you can just look.

Compound

Every month we cut what underperforms and put the budget behind what works. That compounding is the whole point, and it's why the second year beats the first.

Answers

Email Marketing — questions we get asked

What is CASL and does it apply to me?

Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation applies to commercial email sent to Canadian recipients. You need consent — express or implied — clear identification, and a working unsubscribe. Penalties are significant, so we build compliance into the setup rather than bolting it on.

My list is old. Can I still email it?

Carefully. We run a re-engagement sequence on a warmed domain and prune the dead weight, because blasting a stale list is the fastest way to wreck your sending reputation.

Which platform do you use?

Klaviyo for e-commerce, and Mailchimp, Brevo or ActiveCampaign for service businesses — whichever fits your stack and budget.

How often should I send?

For most businesses, two to four times a month plus automations. Consistency matters more than frequency.
